Whistler, BC – Well, November 18th saw the opening of Whistler and the snow was fantastic!!! Got into the line-up for the gondola at around 7:15, started loading at 8:10 and were skiing by 8:30. Lifts open were Village Gondola, Creekside Gondola, Red, Green and Garbonzo. Conditions were great. The snow was soft and plentiful and made for one of the best openings in awhile. The snow was knee deep and deeper in some pockets.

Got at least 4 runs in before the crowds really hit. All in all, an excellent way to start the season. They have done some good changes to some of the runs. Pony trial has doubled in width under the Red chair, changes have been made to Toilet Bowl and the bottom of Jimmy’s Joker. The new Symphony Express is due to open on December 16th.
