Whistler, BC – What a November it has been!!!!! With already 395cm of snow, we should break the 4 metre mark with the snow that’s coming down today. That’s 4 metres in November!!!!! With a base of over 150cm the skiing is unreal. Peak chair opened on the 25th, the earliest opening ever and Glacier chair opened on the 24th. The conditions are great with powder everywhere. Cold temperatures (-20) has kept the snow light and fluffy and a pleasure to ski. Skied down to the village the other day and the ski-out to Creekside should be open soon.

This is definitely the best start to the season that I have been a part of. With more snow in the forecast, it should get even better. Temperatures are supposed to rise, to a balmy -10, so it should make for less frostbite. The Symphony Express is getting closer to completion. The chairs were on it yesterday as they were doing some testing. As I leave you, the snow has started to fall again, which is great for us, not so good for Vancouver and Victoria which have been suffering this last week.

PS – Woke up to alot of snow this morning and it was light. That brought the November total to 416cm!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! The skiing was great this morning. Freshies down Green Acres, followed by more freshies down Chunky’s Choice/Blue Line, followed by untouched over-the-head turns down Ratfink. Skied Blackcomb after session and it’s good over there too. Trees in Crystal area are sweet as is Barksandwich. Can’t wait to see what December brings.
